DAVID SCHLIMME

PRESIDENT

As President, David utilizes his many years of engineering and construction experience to oversee the operations of Raymond Construction. His responsibilities include fostering an environment that supports our culture, establishing, and implementing the strategic plan, and focusing on continuous improvement within our organization.

David’s career in the industry began after serving four years of active duty as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, taking part in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and a deployment to the Mediterranean. Upon leaving active duty, David earned his master’s in Civil Engineering. In 1999, David started his career at Raymond Construction as a project manager and became President in 2019.

JUSTIN DEMING

CENTRAL TEXAS DIRECTOR

Upon graduation from Texas Tech University, Justin began his career with a large commercial general contractor in the Austin region and joined Raymond Construction as Central Texas Director in 2015. He is responsible for fostering an environment that supports our culture, establishes, and implements the strategic plan for the Central Texas region, and maintains a focus on continuous improvement within our organization.

Growing up in Fredericksburg, TX., Justin was a competitive water skier and now has his pilot’s license, proving he’s still an adventurer at heart. He resides in Austin with his wife and their three boys.

BEN CHOLICK

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Ben joined the Raymond Construction team in 2018 as Director of Business Development, Sales, and Marketing. He oversees all efforts for business development for both the DFW and Central Texas regions. His responsibilities include leading in a team environment to differentiate Raymond Construction from our competition and build a growing business base, which includes identifying, pursuing, and developing relationships within current and potential market segments. Ben participates in the strategic planning process and focuses on continuous improvement within our organization.

Upon graduation from Texas A&M University, Ben worked for a large commercial general contractor in DFW on a large airport project. Upon completing that project, he worked for a specialty subcontractor for 13 years. He resides in Dallas with his wife and their four daughters.

WALKER WORKMAN

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Walker joined the Raymond Construction team in 2018 as Director of Operations Central Texas. His responsibilities include assisting the business development efforts within our organization, maintaining client, consultant, and subcontractor relationships, assisting with implementing the strategic plan for the Central Texas region and maintaining a focus on continuous improvement within our organization.

Walker grew up in the Houston area, working on project sites for his father’s construction company, where he developed a love for building. Upon graduation from Texas A&M University, Walker worked for two of the largest concrete contractors in Texas before working for a large commercial general contractor. He resides in Austin with his wife and their three boys.

Since 1952, Raymond Construction has been a trusted General Contractor serving the state of Texas. Founded by Charles B. Raymond, our company was built on a simple principle: be a solution-driven team that brings peace of mind throughout the construction process.

With humble beginnings—constructing 50+ buildings in 30 years—we have grown steadily in both size and capability. Today, Raymond Construction averages approximately 20 projects per year, many for repeat clients who value our consistency, communication, and results.

As certified members of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, we proudly serve clients across a wide range of industries, including industrial, manufacturing, office, and more! Every project is supported by a dedicated team committed to excellence and integrity from preconstruction through closeout.

Company Founded by Charles B. Raymond

1957

Raymond Construction completed its first Tilt-Up project, creating a standard for how we approach many projects today.

1986

Charles M. Raymond named President

1996

Received the AGC Summit Award on Heart Hanks building in Austin, TX—the first of many state and local industry awards for Outstanding Construction.

2006

David L. Schlimme became Principal and Senior Vice President in Dallas

2007

Constructed first LEED Certified project

2007

Sales Volume reached over $60 million

2015

Justin Deming hired as Central Texas Director

2016

Justin Deming became Principal

2018

Ben Cholick hired as Director of Business Development in Dallas and Walker Workman hired as Director of Operations in Austin.
